The cold winter months are not only challenging for people, but also require special care for precision processing equipment such as laser cutting machines. Low temperatures can lead to coolant freezing, condensation on optical components, and even damage to core parts. 1. Cooling System Anti-Freezing – Of Utmost Importance

✅ Use anti-freeze coolant:

In winter, be sure to replace the coolant with a professional anti-freeze type (such as ethylene glycol mixture), and check that the freezing point meets the local minimum temperature.

❌ Strictly prohibit the use of tap water or ordinary coolant! Freezing will cause water pipes and pump bodies to burst.


✅ Drain the water system when shut down:

If the equipment is shut down for more than 24 hours, thoroughly drain the liquid from the water tank and pipes, and use compressed air to dry any remaining water.

Gas system:

Install an oil-water separator in the compressed air pipeline and drain it regularly to prevent ice blockage from affecting the cutting air pressure.


4. Maintenance Points for Long-Term Shutdown


If the equipment is idle for a long period in winter:


Drain all coolant and gas lines;

Apply anti-rust oil to the guide rails and ball screws;

Power on the machine once a week to activate the electronic components.
